This week our photo Illustration was due, which is for a book called ‘Us and Them’, a history of intolerance in America. This was probably the hardest project yet for me, I couldn’t come up with hardly any ideas. Finally, yesterday I thought of something I could shoot and used the continuous florescent lights in the studio, and a couple of foot models!
This is one of our group projects we did, advertising crackers. We had a good group and worked together really well.Anyways, this pic is probably my favorite of the bunch. It took the most time of the shots because of the fog.But I think it turned out pretty good.
My first client assignment was a breakfast shoot. It was shot in the RCC studio and it took forever! The end result was different than my original vision, but I’m pretty happy with it.I set up two strobes, one through a diffusion screen, the other bouncing of a panel, then I added another light in the back of the scene to throw some accent light on the berries.
Another self promo…this time with my sister Mary, modeling some jewelry.I had a similar set up with Alien Bees at my house, using two on each side for side light. And… I used some very special technical fabric to soften the light a bit…(so yea maybe they were T-shirts.)
So this is one of the shots from a self-promo shoot. My friend Sterlynn helped me out by modeling for me, she is so much fun!
I checked out the Alien Bees from school, and did a little set up at my house….and recruited my sister to hold a reflector. Yea,it looks kind of ghetto with the duck tape holding up the background (which is really just a sheet!ha!)
I am now a newlywed, as well as a new blogger! The past months have been crazy as an RCC photo student and a Fiancé planning for a wedding! I’m getting settled into a new life with my hubby, and starting a new semester here at Randolph Community College, as a commercial photography student. So needless to say I will be posting my work on here which I look forward to, as well seeing my other classmates’ work! I am going to say goodbye to the blogging world now because I have been in class for almost 7 hours now. So, see ya……..Hannah……McClure.
